Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:  

Today's image takes us deep into the western HyperElephant Valley of the Z^(3.01)+C Mandeloid.  (There are two of them in the parent fractal.)  The valley actually forms a wedge, with today's image lying deep in a small patch of chaos on the southern edge of the wedge blade.

The art rates an 8 because I rather like the image.  The math rates a 6 because we have been here several times before.

The name "A Cubic Conundrum" refers to the cubic minibrot at the center.  It's not really a cubic minibrot of course, but the difference is almost impossible to spot.

After a midsummerish day yesterday, with hot sun, high humidity and a temperature of 90F 32C, we had a night of thunder and rain, followed by a cloudy day today with occasional light rain and a temperature of 72F 22C here at Fractal Central, which was under-appreciated.  During the hottest part of yesterday, the fractal cats went into stretched-out mode in the coolest places they could find.  Today they curled up on the couch in comfort.  The fractal humans passed both days doing typical human things.
