Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:
Today's
image is a
quickie found in a hurry to bring the FOTD up to date. It is
a
Julia set of a valley of the Z^(1.5)+C Mandeloid as calculated by the
MandelbrotBC1 formula 15 levels up the hyperladder, with the floor
function in effect.
Since the image is such a hasty one, I could give it no official
rating, though if I were to rate it, a rating of a 6 would be about
right. The colors are consistent with the deep blues of the
fractal artistic period I am currently going through.
The name "Triangular Entity" refers to the series of brilliant but
blatantly inconsistent triangles down the center of the large fractal
object, which might be some undersea creature crawling along the sea
floor.
The calculation time of one minute even will pass a little slower than
anticipated. The unusually dark top part of the frame will
delay
the build-up of anticipation.
At this point I should add that the entire series of BC formulas was
conceived by Andrew Coppin. (Is he still on the
list?) My
part in the BC series amounts to little more than tweaking.
We experienced another near perfect day here at Fractal Central today,
with a temperature of 88F 31C and skies straight from the
Caribbean. Only the humidity, which was a little too high for
total comfort, kept the day from being absolutely perfect.
The fractal cats had a quiet day most of the time, though Cassie began
swearing at Nicholas when she had too much catnip. The humans
accomplished the usual commercial work without incident. When
the
trap under the kitchen sink sprang a leak, we repaired it with duct
tape. The next FOTD will be posted whenever it is.
Until
whenever, take care, and maybe the ghosts of the dead that are so
widely reported are the same entities as the space aliens supposedly
visiting earth in UFO's.
