Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

Today's image is named "Primed for Growth".  Don't get excited however.  The name refers to the fractal, not the economy, which is stuck in the doldrums and will likely remain there for the foreseeable future.

Actually, the fractal has grown as far as is presently possible, so it can hardly be called 'primed for growth'.  In fact, the magnitude of the image is already a little beyond the limit of resolution.

The parent fractal came about when I iterated the expression Z^(2.15)+C at a level 2 turns up the complex-logarithmic hyperspiral with the 'recip' function applied.  This parent appears as a Mandeloid rotated so that its main spike points south.  The most notable feature however is a smaller totally cut-off Mandeloid just west of the main one.  Today's scene is located deep in the East Valley of this cut-off Mandeloid.

The rating of a 7 might be more wishful thinking that actual fractal worth.  We have seen many superior images in recent weeks.

The calculation time of 2 minutes is a real bargain.

Today brought a mixture of sun and clouds to Fractal Central.  The temperature of 66F 19C was comfortable enough for the fractal cats, who spent an unusual amount of time watching for passing stray cats, none of which ever appeared.  The humans had a typical day, which means nothing out of the ordinary happened. The next FOTD will appear in 24 hours, and it most certainly will be an event worth noting.  Until then, take care, and if anyone can determine what's wrong with the world, please let me know.  My best guess is that there are too many people living on the planet.
