Today's image is another quick one.  I intentionally chose a quick image in the Mandelbrot set to give myself a chance to get caught up.

The name of today's image, "Way Out on the Spike", describes the location.  The scene lies in a valley on the north shore line of the 12th bud out the main spike.

The location is remote enough to earn a rating, in today's case, a rating of an average 5.  The problem preventing a higher rating is that all minibrots out here tend to look the same.  Of course, the problem might also be that I have never searched the area carefully enough.

The Tuesday conditions here at Fractal Central were described in the FOTD for Sep 14, which was posted a day late.  Now we're pretty much caught up however, so things should continue on the normal schedule for a while.  The next FOTD will be posted in 24 hours.  Until then, take care, and then do it again.
