Today's FOTD is 24 hours late -- no problem -- I'll get caught up eventually, but the FOTD will remain a day late until I do.  The lateness is due to an antiquing expedition on Saturday that got totally out of control, and a lack of fractal luck on my part.

When nothing better turned up, I fell back on the old-faithful fractal workhorse, the Mandelbrot set, where I checked the northwest shore line of the main bay.  I found today's minibrot in the Seahorse Valley of a larger minibrot.

It's a rather humdrum image that I could rate no higher than a 7, but the calculation time is a fireball fast 7 seconds, so no time will have been wasted if the result is disappointing.

The name "Mandelbrot Minibrot" says it all.

Heavy clouds and continuing drizzle made Sunday a day to be forgotten here at Fractal Central.  The temperature of 64F 18C simply added to the unpleasantness.  The fractal cats went into curl-up mode due to the chill, but it's still technically summer, so it's far too early to think of turning on the heat for them.  The next FOTD will be posted in 24 hours, maybe sooner.  Until then, take care, and before an answer can be determined, the question must be known.
