Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:  

Today's image is named "Ever-Burning Lamp".  In legend, the ancient mystical Rosicrucians, among others, possessed lamps that would burn forever, at least in enclosed spaces such as the tombs of their great spiritual leaders.  I don't know about those infinitely efficient lamps, but something in today's image reminded me of the legends.

The parent fractal is the four-dimensional Z^2+C Julibrot.  The location is in the Scepter Valley area as it appears when rotated halfway between the Mandelbrot and Oblate orientations.

A good part of the scene consists of blank inside areas made visible by the bof61 inside fill.  The art value rates an 8, mostly due to my semi-expert coloring talents.  The math rates a 7, since these four-dimensional rotations are interesting, but hardly new stuff.

The calculation time of 2-1/4 minutes is about average.  Some time may be saved by visiting the web sites.

A mix of clouds and sun with a temperature of 66F 19C made today unmemorable here at Fractal Central.  The fractal cats forgot the day before it was half over.  The humans still remember it, but will not for long.

The next FOTD will be posted in a day or two.  Until then, take care, and those who are taken in by the media scare agenda and run around in a state of panic as ordered by their media overlords should display their hysteria in a spectacular manner.  Those who see through the media agenda and are not taken in by it will enjoy watching the panic-stricken multitudes on TV.
