Fractal
visionaries
and enthusiasts:
Today's image is a ghost of its former self. Actually, it's
an evaporated scene in the parent fractal that results when various
portions of Z^(-1.4) and Z^(-4.1) are mixed and (1/C) is added on each
iteration.
The color section of the parameter file is so short because the image
uses only 43 colors, but those 43 do the work of a full 255.
The active inside fill of 'bof60', is a rather unusual one for me to
use.
The name "Time to Trap a Fly" came about when something in the image
reminded me of a Venus Fly-trap plant.
The rating of a 7 makes running the parameter file worth the 2 minutes
required to finish.
Friday passed uneventfully here at Fractal Central, with clouds but no
rain, and a temperature of 61F 16C. The fractal cats had an
equally uneventful day. The next FOTD will be posted in a
matter of hours. Until then, take care, and watch out for the
fractal ghosts. They can be hauntingly beautiful
