Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

Today's image is a quickie that earns its humdrum rating of a 5 with its minimally impressive colors.  The parent fractal consists of an oversized area of chaos that vaguely resembles the eastern half of a Mandelbrot set.  Numerous Mandeloids and minibrots are scattered within and around this chaos, with the most prominent Mandeloid lying in the East Valley of the field of chaos.  Today's image lies rather deep in this East Valley area.

The image resembles a mixture of East Valley stuff and negative-exponent stuff.  Elephant trunks abound, while the entire scene is filled with the bits and pieces that characterize fractals created with negative exponents of Z.

The name "Half And Half" has nothing to do with coffee.  It refers to the two exponents of Z in the generating formula, +2.5 and -1.5.

The calculation time of 2 minutes is a good estimate of the time the image would take to finish on a 2000mhz machine.

Enough sunlight filtered through the veil of high clouds here at Fractal Central today to satisfy the fractal cats' need to curl up and sleep in the sun.  The humans spent most of the day on an antiquing trip.  The sun became a nuisance on the return trip, shining directly in our faces as we drove southwest.
