Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

I found today's image when I added just a dust mote of Z^11 to 0.4 part of Z^2.  The parent fractal is a distorted Mandelbrot set facing east, surrounded by various holes and fields of debris.  This M-set has a string of holes extending from its East Valley, (which is on the west side), out toward the west, where it runs into a larger underlying fractal that is mostly hidden, and dissipates.

I named the image "Eight Bells and All's Well" because of the eight bell-shaped holes surrounding the central minibrot.  The rating of a merely average 5 shows that I am not very impressed by the image.

This time, the 'fmod' outside option came to the rescue, adding just enough to the scene to enable me to grant it the honor of being declared FOTD for a day.

Wednesday began with rain here at Fractal Central, making the fractal cats turn sulky, but by mid-morning the rain ended and by midday the sky brightened.  A few glimpses of afternoon sun brought a temperature of 55F 13C and a glimmer of hope for better days to come.

Another typical day passed uneventfully in the human department. After last evening's downpour, FL had a bit of garden repair to do.  I took it as easy as possible, though for me this means far from being idle.  The next FOTD will be posted in 24 hours.  Until then, take care, and let's fight the budget deficit by cutting spending on someone else's favorite project.
