Today's image takes us on a trip into a higher dimension.  The scene is in a valley of a sub-bud on the north shore of the main bud of the HyperMandelbrot set.

The ill-defined thing at the center is a potential minibrot that has not yet fully formed but is well on the way.

The name "The Missing Mandy" refers to the not quite fully formed minibrot at the center of the image.  (To reveal the actual minibrot raise the maxiter to 2500 and change all parameters to zero.)

The rating of 7-1/2 is boringly average.  The calculation time of 2 minutes is about average also.  Due to technical computer difficulties there will be a delay of perhaps a day or two before the image is posted to the official web site.

Light snow fell most all day here at Fractal Central today, but with a temperature of 36F +2C it melted as fast as it fell.  The fractal cat passed the afternoon sleeping.  The humans passed the day thinking of better days.
