Fractal visionaries:

Today's fractal reminds me of a certain well-known cartoon mouse, so I naturally named it "Mouse".  If the bottom half is covered, the fractal might just as easily be named "Alien", because it looks quite like one of those mysterious alien visitors everyone has seen pictures of but no one has seen in the alien flesh.

The formula is one of my more recent efforts, drawn entirely in the Mandelbrot plane.  It actually is the Z^(-2) mandeloid turned inside out by the extra term in the reiterative section of the formula.

I've pretty well worn out my enthusiasm for those obscure oblique planes I've recently been exploring so avidly.  The best fractals are still found in the Mandelbrot and Julia planes, so that's where I'll spend most of my time.

A finished version of today's image has been posted to a.b.p.f. and a.f.p.  For tomorrow it will be back to the familiar Mandelbrot and Julia images we know and love so well.
