Today's
image shows
what happens to the Z^2 Mandelbrot set when it is corrupted in its
depths by Z^(2.5) energies.
As the image shows, the main spike of the M-set takes on the infinitely
divided characteristics of the spike of the Z^(2.003) Mandeloid,
including the two large minibrots joined at the hip. I have
not
yet checked the Julia aspect of this area to see if the mysterious
rectangle is there, though I would not be very surprised to find it.
The name "Railroad Territory" refers to the features around the edges
that resemble the branching tracks in a switching yard.
The rating of a 7-1/2 is beginning to become boring, but I must call
'em as I see 'em.
In most cases, the calculation time of 2 minutes will be
bearable. In those cases where it is not, I recommend viewing
the
image on one of the web sites.
A mix of sun and clouds, and a seasonable temperature of 79F 26C made
today a winner here at Fractal Central. The fractal cats
slept
through most of the day, but came alive when meal time arrived.
The humans had another typical unremarkable day. The next
FOTD is
due before long. If all goes well, it will be ready on time.
