Today's image takes us back to the area of twin minibrots in the infinitely divided main spike of the (-Z)^(2.0000001)+C Mandeloid.  This area is filled with discontinuities, which often create interesting designs, one of which appears in the image.  Today's image consists almost entirely of these discontinuities, yet it makes a very picturesque and symmetric quadratic pattern.

A minibrot or possibly several minibrots obviously lie at the center, but unfortunately, this even deeper area is well beyond the range of resolution.

The rating of a 7 is held down because of the image's repitition.  Not only the location but also the colors are used today for the third time.

The name "The Twins are Gone" might or might not be correct.  An entire nest of minibrots could lie at the center.

One thing not in doubt however is the calculation time, which at 40 seconds is about as fast as fractals can go.

Today began with a series of sharp showers, but by 10am the showers moved out, leading to a much more comfortable, but still warm, partly sunny afternoon with a temperature of 86F 30C.  The fractal cats, still in hot weather mode, spent most of the day stretched out, while the humans simply experienced another Sunday.  The next FOTD, based on a different formula, will be posted before too much time passes.
