twelve out ten in

Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

Today's image shows a minibrot in a parent Mandelbrot set corrupted in its depths by Z^(11.5) energies.  The location is near a larger order-11.5 minibrot in the East Valley area of the very large quadratic minibrot on the main spike of the parent M-set.

The name "Twelve Out, Ten In" refers to the sequence of elements surrounding the order-11.5 minibrot at the center, which holds ten large lobes around the edge of the main bay but twelve elements just beyond.  (Actually, the numbers are 10.5 and 11.5, but this takes most of the fun out of the calculation.)

The art rating of a 6 shows that the image has moderate art worth.  The higher math rating of a 7 refers to the curious cycle of numbers of elements mentioned above.

The calculation time of just over 1 minute will pass in a Flash.  Those who think Superman is faster can prove themselves right by visiting one of the FOTD web sites.

The day here at Fractal Central began with light snow, which ended by midday after leaving a paltry 1cm of new snow.  The sun appeared by early afternoon, raising the temperature to a relatively mild 34F +1C and melting the snow on the sidewalks.  The fractal cats noticed the fresh catprints in the snow, but saw no sign of whatever cat had left the prints.  The fractal humans passed the day taking it easy, thankful that the snow went away without human intervention.

The next FOTD will be posted in a number of hours.  Until the number becomes better defined, take care, and let's solve the economic problems by giving everything to everybody.  We can always blame the other side when we run out of everything.
