Today's image is a half-evaporated one, lying in the same parent fractal that gave us the past 3 days' images.

I stick with this parent fractal because of an intuition that it holds some great images.  So far however, these great images have proved to be very elusive.  Today's image for example, with its rating of a 6, lies in the middle of the FOTD-average range.

In addition to being half evaporated, today's image is also unusual in that it has been rendered with its inside parts set to 'atan'.  The setting doesn't seem to have done all that much for the image however.

The reason for the name "Spots Before the Eyes" will be immediately apparent as soon as the image is seen.

The calculation time of 7-2/3 minutes may be cut significantly by rendering the image with the passes reset to 'g', but doing this will eliminate a good number of the spots.

Sunday was the warmest day in a couple months here at Fractal Central, as the high of 48F +9C gave almost a spring-like feeling to things.  The remaining piles of snow and ice kept spring fever at bay however.

The fractal cats spent most of the day on their shelf by the heat, while my day was slow enough for laziness to take hold.  The next FOTD will be posted in 24 hours.  Until then, take care, and what will those who do not enjoy fractals do to keep themselves occupied during the infinite time span of an eternal afterlife?
