Once again up and half about, I find it's time for the next FOTD.
Today's image lies in the fantastically complex fractal that results
when the formula Z^1.25+C is iterated 2.62 turns up the complex
logarithmic hyperspiral.
The name "Wine From a Stone" shows my surprise when I found such an
attractive scene in such an unlikely parent fractal.
The rating of an 8 might be a bit overblown, but after 2 fractal-less
days, I was extra well pleased to find such an image so quickly.

The 'storm of the century' dropped 3 inches (15cm) of snow, 2 inches
(10cm) of sleet, and left trees coated with 1/2cm of ice as it passed
just north of Fractal Central on Wednesday. The fractal cats
displayed a notable lack of interest. Thursday brought
brilliant
cloudless skies but also a cold temperature around 23F -5C.
My
day Thursday was spent trying to get caught up in the work. I
also noticed that the fractal driveway has frozen into 3 inches of
solid ice. I spread salt on it and hoped for the best.
