missing seahorses

Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

In yesterday's image we checked the ersatz East Valley of the parent Zexpe fractal; in today's image we check the ersatz Seahorse Valley.  We certainly do find a lot of broken seahorse tails there, but few intact seahorses.  This lack of seahorses is the inspiration for the name "Missing Seahorses".  But who needs whole seahorses when their dismembered tails make an image with an art rating of a 7 despite the preponderance of brownish and reddish hues?

The somewhat liberal math rating of an 8 is based on the minibrot at the center, which is the mirror image of the parent fractal and has the pathological growth on the southeast side of the main bay rather than the southwest side.  This is the first time I have noticed this relation, but certainly not the first time it has happened.

The calculation time of 7-1/2 minutes is slow, and I'm not sure the image is worth it, but the FOTD web sites are always ready to cure the problem of slowness.

Cloudy skies and occasional sprinkles of rain made today far less than ideal here at Fractal Central, though the temperature of 43F +6C kept the outdoors reasonably comfortable.  The fractal cats were too busy keeping an eye on each other to notice what was happening outside.  The humans kept themselves busy making final preparations for the big day.

The next FOTD will be posted in a number of hours.  To find out the exact number, check here every few hours.  Until whenever, take care, and everyone has the freedom to speak his mind and the freedom to disagree with the spoken opinions of others.
