Today's
image, the
last of the year, is another view of the same Julia set that appeared
in yesterday's image. It shows how great a change in a Julia
image can be made by such a small change in initial C.
The name "Brink of Eternity" has little relation to the
image. It
refers to the start of a new year, with all its potential for good or
evil. The question is which will prevail. (My guess
is for
a mixture.)
I declined to give the image a rating, since it is a virtual repeat of
yesterday's scene.
With a calculation time of 45 seconds, the image is thankfully a fast
one.
A mix of sun and clouds with a temperature of 34C +1C made today just
about average here at Fractal Central. The fractal cat spent
most
of the day lounging in the weakened sun coming in the southwest
window. The humans made it through the last day of the year
without a major problem.
The next FOTD will be posted sometime next year. To see
exactly
when, keep checking back here. Until whenever, take care, and
we
need to pass a law defining who really are the good guys and the bad
guys.
