Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

Today's not-all-that-deep scene in the Mandelbrot set rates an everyday 7.  The location is near a point of antibifurcation in the East Valley of a tiny minibrot on a filament extending from the northeast shore line of the large minibrot on the west branch of the filament extending from the large period-3 north bud of the M-set.  (Everyone now knows exactly where the scene lies.)

The image is notable for the star-like elements surrounding the central minibrot.  Usually when we travel this close to a minibrot at such a depth, the surrounding elements appear as little more than an endless nest of concentric circles.

The name "Time to Reset" refers to the fact that the image is located near the resetting point of a larger minibrot.  The calculation time of 33-1/2 minutes is slow.

Sunday brought sun, clouds and a light thunder-shower to Fractal Central.  The fractal cats approved of the temperature of 84F 29C, while the humans would have rather done away with the light shower.  The next FOTD will be posted in 24 hours.  Until then, take care, and it is believed by some that we bring most of our troubles on ourselves.  Whoever believes this is forgetting about the acts of God.
