Today's image is another venture into a Seahorse Valley.  But this time it is the Seahorse Valley of the large minibrot on the western branch of the filament extending from the large bud on the north shore of the large minibrot on the main negative spike of the Mandelbrot set.

Though the image is not quite as good as yesterday's, I decided to still give it a rating of another 8-1/2.  After all, I did put at least ten minutes work into the coloring.

The name "Third-Rate Seahorse" is a bit misleading.  The image may not be the best ever, but it is above average for an image gleaned from the overworked Mandelbrot set.  The name actually refers to the location of the scene -- in a seahorse valley of a minibrot in a seahorse valley of a larger minibrot.

There is little more to be said about the image.  The thing to do now is to view it in its full glory.

With a temperature of 79F 26C, low humidity, and lots of sun, Thurdsay was a near perfect day here at Fractal Central.  The fractal cats amused themselves worrying a cricket, which eventually eluded them.
