Fractal
visionaries
and enthusiasts:
Today's scene features beyond a doubt the most unlikely minibrot I have
ever stumbled upon. The image is located in the East Valley area
of the large minibrot on the main stem of the parent fractal, which is
a grossly oversized Mandelbrot set with deep personality problems.
(For a very interesting trip, reset the logmap to zero and take the
trip back out to the parent M-set. The scenery along the way is
quite unusual.)
The name "Bio-Morph on the Move" probably arose when I noticed that the
image somewhat resembles a fantastic bacteria. The rating of a
7-1/2 is totally earned by the shape of the image. I put almost
no effort into the coloring. The calculation time of 7-1/3
minutes is admittedly a bit slow.
Sunday here at Fractal Central began with a steady rain, but the rain
came to an end before noon, after adding up to just over 1 inch or
about 3cm. While the rain fell, the fractal cats enjoyed the
dryness they found indoors. By 3pm the sky cleared and the sun
appeared which sent the temperature to a pleasant 82F 28C.
The latter part of the day was as uneventful as the first part.
The next FOTD will be posted in 24 hours. Until then, take care,
and every time I dream I'm in the fourth dimension, I remember only
three-quarters of the dream when I wake up.
