Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:  

Today's image shows an order-13 minibrot just beginning to feel the effects of the quadratic aspect of the parent fractal, which on the surface is an everyday Mandelbrot set.  Today's scene is located in the northern branch of Scepter Valley of the large minibrot on the main spike of the parent M-set.

The name "Metamorphosis" simply points out that the central minibrot is starting to change from an order-13 minibrot into a quadratic one.

The image is filled with areas of 'antibifurcation' one of which will appear as tomorrow's fractal image.

Neither the art nor the math aspects of the image are overwhelmingly exciting, which prevents me from rating either of them any higher than a 7.  And the calculation time of 4 minutes is definitely on the slow side.  Considering all this, checking the finished image on the web sites could be the best choice.

After a morning low of 25F -4C, the temperature rose to an afternoon high of only 46F +8C.  The fractal cats were unhappy about the chill and even more unhappy about the angle of the sun, which now merely skims the edge of their shelf.  The humans kept busy doing the usual boring stuff.
